NCCS Chapters
Over the years, many families wanted to help the cause by doing their own fundraisers. We have supported and worked together with these families from walk-a-thons to marathons, selling "jare bears", dinner dances, picnics and a variety of other events celebrated in honor or memory of their children in all cases where 100% of the proceeds went to neuroblastoma research they supported!
By networking with NCCS, you can take advantage of our 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. We can also provide support on our website, mailings, experience and other resources to make your event a huge success. Please contact us for our support of a single event or ongoing fundraising as one of our Chapters.
Friends of Michael Williams Chapter
Friends of Michael Williams Annual Golf Outing
Friends of Michael Williams was founded in December 2001 by Mike's godmother, Beth Possley. Beth's vision was to create a foundation in Mike's name to raise money for neuroblastoma research and awareness. Friends of Michael Williams is a chapter of NCCS – The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Society.

Each year's golf outing is held in honor of Mike's first birdie on June 30, 2001. Our inaugural year celebrated this birdie with 295 golfers and guests. With this annual outing comes the annual support of ESPN Radio's McNeil, Jurko and Harry. Dan and John not only golf but also emcee the event and sponsor the beverage carts. They support us over the airwaves - AM 1000- to make people aware of the need for a cure for neuroblastoma. The success of nine golf outings has generated over $500,000 for Dr. Susan Cohn's research program through The Children's Memorial Hospital Foundation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where Dr. Cohn lab was and more recently at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital.
Through this website we hope to reach the support of new businesses and new Friends of Michael Williams. The 13th annual golf outing will be held on Saturday September 20, 2014, at the Glenwoodie Course in Glenwood, IL. Mark your calendar and help make a difference to find a cure for neuroblastoma and support our children with cancer. Direct contact Renee and Lou Williams at 219-923-1008.
